If someone stole $1000 worth of household goods in my house and I had these three options I would go for option #3 because:
• Person is released from jail as soon as he or she has repaid you the $1000:
Well I think that this isnt really punishment. I think that the burglar deserves a more severe punishment because he's only giving back something that wasnt his so what of the act of burglary? What is his punishement? nothing.
• Person goes to jail for two to five years but is not required to repay anything:
Well I think this is a bit more effective because at least the person gets punished for their crime. But what of the money they stole? I think they should give the money back because it isnt theirs and because 2 to 5 years in jail does not repay me back $1000
• Person goes to jail for a year and must repay the $1000:
I think that this would be the most effective way to punish someone for burglary. They get their deserved punishment and they pay back the $1000 that they stole. I think this is fair for both the victim and the criminal.
In the U.S. I think that punishment # 2 or #3 would be the most likely given to someone who steals.
In South Florida I think that punishment # 2 because I have had past experience in which we were robbed but no one paid back anything. Considering the fact that no one ever caught the culprit.
And finally I think that the punishment that is most just is punishment #3 because it gives each person what they deserve. The victim gets their stuff back and the burglar gets his proper punishment. And everyone is happy =] ......okay maybe not everyone but most people are

Loyalty
Loyalty, is a word that is hard to really accomplish. Most people would probably describe loyal as someone who is trustworthy and honest. I think that loyalty is a trait that is built on the principle of various characteristics such as, faithfulness, commitment, and fidelity. Being loyal is one of the most important things one could ask of a friend. Loyalty is something all best friends must have because it helps implement the base for their friendship. Without loyalty one could not trust the other and without trust then there is no friendship. Being loyal to a friend shows how much you value their friendship and is a very important thing so one must not be disloyal. For one simple mistake could mean the end of ones friendship. That is why one must consider all the factors before being disloyal. Also loyalty in a relationship (boyfriend/girlfriend) is also essential. Loyalty is one of the top things wanted in a relationship because it covers all the areas of honesty like fidelity. That means being honest with your partner and not cheating. I think loyalty is the most important. And I think this covers most of what it means.

Cinderella
Cinderella is a story that has been told throughout the years but in many ways has been adapted to fit our modern era. Or so we can see in one example Maid in Manhattan.
In this story there are many similarities to the universal cinderella story. One would be that Maritza is just a simple woman who cleans. She is poor (lower class) and has to go through several obstacles to achieve her purpose. Also another similarity would be that in the end she live happily ever after with her new husband (prince figure) and she becomes rich and famous.
Although there are many similarities with this story and the original cinderella story there are also many differences. One noticable difference would be that Maritza already has a son. It is very common to be a single mother in out modern times but back in the day it wasnt as commom unless you were a widow like the stepmother was. A second difference would be the fact that this story takes place in Manhattan while the original cinderella takes place during the Midieval times in some far away land (the fairy tale version that all kids know.)
With all these differences and similarities the story of cinderella still remains as we know it.

To me the purpose of Thanksgiving or similar holidays is that its a way to celebrate with your family and be together. I love holidays because we dont have school and because its a great way to spend time with your family and just eat a lot. I love holidays because during that time of year everyone is very festive and things seem to be very magical.
